WPS Turns Switch On
August 8th, 2015 - Officials at the West Pro Series headquarters has announced that the league will return to action in the coming weeks. The WPS was founded in 2011 on the xBox 360 and quickly moved over to the iRacing.com platform. The league has had divisions including all types of cars from legends all the way to the indy cars. The league has sat dormant for quite some time now and league owners, supporters, and admins are ready for it to be revived.
The first division to make it's debut at the West Pro Series will be the Super Late Model Series. WPS has ran the SLM car in the past but was still considered the "Late Model Division." Ben Kilcrease will be the head admin of the division. Kilcrease is known for organizing some of the biggest events on iRacing; The 9/11 Triple Features, The Cancer Freeze 200, The JEGS 250, and The New Year's Bash. Kilcrease is also the voice at Flomaton Speedway and Northwest Florida Speedway and can be heard from time to time calling the action for The Sim Racing Network and LSRTV.
"I'm super stoked to get West Pro up and going again." said Kilcrease. "We'll be working very hard over the next couple of weeks to get everything in line and set to go for the first green flag. I've got a lot of ideas flowing through my head so I can gurantee it's going to be a fun season!"
